'Recyc-label' Forms
In an ever increasing environmentally responsible society, one of the problems associated with standard integrated label documents that are primarily used by mail order and on line retailers, is that although the paper used in this product is able to be re-cycled, the siliconised release line that it is attached to is not able to be recycled.
To manufacture an integrated label document, a relatively large amount of silicone is baked on to the backing paper using a heating process. Most of these documents will enter the domestic waste paper stream and will do so whilst still incorporating the release liner, resulting in the quality of the re-cycled paper produced being significantly degraded.
As a solution to this problem an innovative new product has been developed by a European manufacturer that is a 100% re-cyclable integrated label despatch note. The product - the 'Recyc-label' was primarily developed in response to the much more stringent continental re-cycling requirements, not yet operating in the UK.
The difference between this new product and the conventional siliconised integrated label is that the label does not require a release liner. The label is positioned on the top of the sheet in the same way that a 'piggyback' label is applied and a patch of UV dried silicone is applied directly to the face of the form on top of which is then applied a patch of hot melt adhesive and then the label itself.
In addition to the ecological advantages of this product the 'Recy-label' can become more than a despatch note in that the form can be pre-printed underneath the label before it is applied. This turns a despatch note into a form of interactive direct mail as the recipient will always lift the returns label to view a Special Offer, for example.
The 'Recyc-label' is exclusively available from us in the UK andIf you would like a sample of this product or to arrange a quotation, contact Elwyn Jones.
